i wrote last august about a competition run by inkygoodness that i’d entered a couple of character designs into – and i was lucky enough to be shortlisted and selected for their exhibition from 300+ entries. the exhibition, at the coningsby gallery in london, came down last week and as i wasn’t able to make it there to see it, i’ve been searching their blogs and flickr to see how it all turned out and to get some pictures of my work on display.
the exhibition looked great – the team did a super job. now that it’s been taken down and due to its popularity, they’re considering a follow-up exhibition later in the year (which would be great). in the meantime you can check out their online shop which has all of the beermat artworks that were on display, and maybe pick one up for yourself too. the exhibition was twinned with ammo magazine’s poop deck project – a deck of playing cards illustrated with characters along a nautical theme (if you like pirates it’s a good deal!). i’ve got my set and you can get yours here.
(apologies for the link-fest in this blog, and the shameless attempt to encourage you to buy buy buy – but there’s some super-cool stuff on these links
